Aroview: Falsely accused of cheating, bright spark student Katie Holmes and pals resort to holding the vindictive teacher responsible to ransom, but superbitch Mrs. Tingle (Helen Mirren!) has a few counterplans of her own. Directing debut from writer Kevin Williamson (SCREAM and TV's 'Dawson's Creek') is a passable teen wish-fulfilment fantasy that soft-peddles its potentially edgy premise for the PG market.
