Aroview: First Hollywood effort at generating thrills from the dubious (and probably mythical) subculture of 'snuff movies', where actors are deliberately killed on-camera. Nicolas Cage here is the snooper into the trash underbelly of America, trying to root-out the source of a particularly nasty piece of celluloid. Hopes were high with screenwriter Andrew Kevin Walker (SEVEN, THE GAME) laying his dark hand on the script, but cliche strikes glaring notes amid the shocking ugly-ness.
