Aroview: In 'The Russian Idea' the philisophical concept of a self-contradicting Russian 'character' is discussed using the films of various political eras, with a somewhat hardgoing but thought-provoking narration. '100 Years of Polish Cinema' takes a more meditative approach, using ordinary people's memories of the highlights of Polish films, overtop of the clips themselves.
