5 stars (Exceptional) Also a standout performance by Burt Lancaster, leading to his later title role in Visconti's The Leopard. Musical score by Ernest Gold, in the same year that Gold won the Oscar for Exodus. The soundtrack LP showcased speeches of Lancaster & Tracy. ~EdMorbius
3 stars (Good Enough) Having a big-name Hollywood cast - fine as they all are - distracts a little from the serious heft of the movie. ~Shorty
3 stars (Good Enough) Courtroom dramas tend to take longer, but this needs a bit of extra patience to cope with some speeches as well. Other than reasoning out the casting decisions, there is no suspense or intrigue, so the marathon screenplay can be viewed over several days. ~Tubbs
