Aroview: When John Travolta nicks off with a couple of nuclear warheads, its enough to transform his (former) air-force buddy (Christian Slater) into good-guy hero mode. Deliriously far-fetched enough for John Woo to be able to break all laws of nature in staging his colossal action stunts.

4 stars (Very Good) I've watched this too many times. Travolta chewing scenery,Gunton oozing malice, Mathis' spunky heroine, Zimmer's sub-Morricone score. Fairly stupid and probably not the best Woo film, but a personal favourite. Ideal popcorn fare, great fun. ~HiFi
2 stars (Good Try) Standard action film headed by a well-played annoying Travolta character. ~Tubbs
