Complete Unknown, A
“Even as it builds a realistic world with sweep and detail... it doesn’t try to make Bob palatable, nice or, finally, comprehensible in the usual dreary biopic fashion”~The New York Times
Aroview: The well known tale of Bob Dylan's meteoric rise through the 60's New York folk scene (and his infamous betrayal of 'folk' sensibilities) works well here by remixing and overlapping the timelines for dramatic effect. Less factual (See Sorsese's documentaries) and more a rose tinted celebration of those changin' times. Chalamet gets a B+ for just singing and avoiding any cartoonish impressions.
Based on the book "Dylan Goes Electric!" by Elijah Wald.
