Tunnel of Love, The

Synopsis: Romantic comedy starring Doris Day and Richard Widmark as a couple who are unable to conceive, and try to adopt a baby. When they find one, its resemblance to the husband leads them to believe he might really be the biological father. A change of pace for Widmark, who was known for dramatic rather than comedic roles; director Gene Kelly attributed the film's low box office results to audiences not readily adapting to the change.
