Aroview: Thomasin McKenzie and Anya Taylor-Joy star in this latest dizzying concoction from precocious British director Edgar Wright, a genre-blending gothic thriller inspired by the Swinging Sixties.
McKenzie plays an aspiring fashion designer with a troubled past who moves to London to study at the London College of Fashion, where she begins having vivid dreams involving a beautiful nightclub singer (Taylor-Joy). A kaleidoscopic mind-bender, immaculately dressed in the colour, style and fashion of 60’s Soho and lovingly paying homage to both British 'kitchen sink' and campy horror films of the era.

3 stars (Good Enough) When arriving in the big smoke Thomasin McKenzie looks suitably in awe and lost. She then combines well with Anya Taylor-Joy in negotiating everything the writers throw at them, Terence Stamp included. The soundtrack is worthy of the period. ~Tubbs
5 stars (Exceptional) Outstanding, cleverly plotted & amazingly well-made. Stylish & pacey. Thomasin is just marvellous - perfect! Her mother & gran must be very proud of her. It's about exploitation - very 'Me, too' & rightly so. Scary. Viewing the bonuses is a must. ~Anon
