Beyond the Clouds

Aroview: Michelangelo Antonioni's final film weaves together four stories of discontented love in his characteristic cinematic style.

Featuring a huge cast, headed by John Malkovich, who plays the brooding film director at the centre of it all. The screenplay was adapted from Antonioni's book of sketches "That Bowling Alley on the Tiber". Fellow director Wim Wenders assisted with the screenplay and filming, as Antonioni was recovering from a stroke at the time.
