Emotionally centered around the troubled former detective, who is grieving the loss of his family in a car accident when he becomes drawn into the chilling and increasingly surreal mystery of an entity that can possess human "vessels". With an indulgent running time, this is a movie experience more akin to a miniseries, full of character detail and an expertly crafted atmosphere of dread. Viewers needing a tidy and predictable ending will be disappointed, as this one is truly memorable. Based on the graphic novel of same name by Cullen Bunn and Vanesa R. Del Rey.
