Aroview: Ken Russell's erotic send-up of the bawdy life of virtuoso composer Franz Liszt - whose piano performances were attended by hordes of screaming females, and in particular his 'turbulent friendship' with Wagner.

Though much-maligned and perhaps squirm-inducing for actual fans of the composer, this is rather enjoyable as a balls-to-the-wall Russell extravaganza.
