Comancheros, The

Aroview: John Wayne stars (and served as an uncredited director when Michael Curtiz fell ill) in this Western set in Texas in 1843. A Texas ranger arrests a condemned gambler, but finds himself forced to team up with the man to defend himself against a large criminal gang called The Comancheros. Based on a 1952 novel of the same name by Paul Wellman.
