Aroview: Ethan Hawke plays a blue collar New Yorker whose plan to fleece a mob boss of his dirty money comes unstuck when a deaf-mute hitman enters the fray. Cliched-ridden crime caper at least exists for the purpose of its world-weary actors, who revel in their overwrought roles.

2 stars (Good Try) The opening scene was fine as was the music over the end credits but I don't what the director's intentions were with what happened in between. Hawke was over the top and terrible & if the plot was meant to be black humorous it didn't work.~tubbs
