Aroview: Mawkish Zac Efron vehicle finds the former teen heartthrob overreaching for emotion and pathos in this story of a young man’s devastation after his brother is killed in a car accident while he was at the wheel. From there, a supernatural bent develops, though lovers of the Nicholas Sparks tear-jerker will prefer the film’s romantic angle, which the filmmakers pay plenty of lip-service too.
