Spikes Gang, The

Aroview: Downbeat western with Lee Marvin as a wounded outlaw who finds shelter with two young runaways. Regaling them his colorful stories of life on the road the kids are inspired to form a gang.

Engaging yarn boasts fine performances and a sharp script and is of a piece with the melancholic westerns of the time though perhaps not quite as memorable as some.
