Land Of The Lost

Aroview: Based on the popular TV series, this prosaic adaptation sees a goofy Will Farrell play a scientist who gets sucked through a time warp into a parallel universe full of monsters and dinosaurs.

What seems to be lacking is the quirky spirit of the low-budget original series, lost in an overblown amalgamation of adult jokes, CGI effects, and Will Ferrell's permanent slack-jawed expression of fake-shock. Just makes the grade as big-budget escapism, although lacks the heart to stick in the memory.
