Wild Blue Yonder, The

Aroview: Moody 'science fiction fantasy' depicting an alternate reality where an alien species try to colonise a now inhospitable Earth.

Dir. Herzog scrambles fiction with fact here, splicing together real footage of astronauts, deep-sea divers and real-life science with a central story of an alien (Dourif), who has become disenchanted with humankind's neglect of our once-beautiful planet. Ethereal, haunting imagery aside, the real sucker-punch comes from the eco-friendly 'warning' this delivers.
