Aroview: Fabrice Du Welz (THE ORDEAL) directs this striking, elemental jungle thriller, in which a tormented couple (Sewell and Beart) cross the Thai border into war-torn Burma in search of their missing son.

Evoking the great jungle odysseys (AGUIRRE, APOCALYPSE NOW) while lacking the truly spellbinding and irrational qualities of those films, as a descent into hell this is best regarded as another highlight on the CV of cinematographer Benoit Debie (Irreversible), whose nightmarish images of tsunami-ravaged South Asia are simply stunning.
