Times and Winds
Aroview: Set in a remote Turkish village three friends on the cusp of adolescence struggle with both with their changing emotions and growing resentment of their parents.
Beautifully lensed picture eschews narrative in favour of a more elliptical approach without ever becoming too obtuse, though the initially portentous score takes some getting used to. This striking film doesn't flinch from showing life's cruelties, and yet remains an oddly life affirming film.

3 stars (Good Enough) The grumpy males take it out on the kids who in turn, having little else to do, plot. There is enough in this slow drama to keep the interest as the locations fill in when the action is static & there is a music score that makes somnolence impossible. ~Tubbs
