Aroview: Trashy, imaginative Japanese gore fest aims to out-splatter Peter Jackson’s BRAINDEAD with its outrageous hybrid of ROBOCOP and Cronenberg-inspired mutants.

Set in a futuristic Tokyo under the watch of a privatized (and thus, reckless) police force, this seeks out carnage early, and delivers in spades with its absurdist violence and sickening creativity. While the black comedy often falls flat and the deathrate becomes a numbing blur, the ingenuity of the film’s bloodshed will score big with horror fans.
