Loosely based on the popular Japanese manga/anime 'Slam Dunk', but looking for all the world like a cash-in on the success of SHAOLIN SOCCER (only with basketball instead), this sadly boasts none of Stephen Chow's thrilling ingenuity or storytelling gifts, and will probably only appeal to fans of Jay Chou and cast.

2 stars (Good Try) It has some entertaining segments but I don't think it knew what kind of film it wanted to be - Kung Fu, comedy, or sports and therefore what audience it wanted to attract. ~Tubbs
