Aroview: NZ-filmed magical adventure inspired by the legend of Loch Ness in which a small boy secretly adopts a baby mythical creature that grows to monstrous proportions and upsets the local army squadron stationed at his homestead during World War II.
The khaki-hued wartime setting provides a sombre tone that smaller children may not warm to, and the story borrows from over-familiar mythical sources, but with Queenstown standing in for Scotland, this will hold special magic for Kiwi kids. Excellent special effects provided by the world renowned Weta workshop.
