Aroview: Popstar David Essex plays a British working-class youth who rejects the staid conformity of 50's Britain and eventually drifts into the burgeoning pop-music scene.

The sequel, STARDUST, continues his story to eventual fame and fortune, in a loose parallel to the life of John Lennon. Ringo stars, as does another legendary rock drummer, Keith Moon, in a small role.
