Aroview: Three impressionable Italian Americans must choose to resist or surrender to Mob life in this familiar, but soundly acted coming-of-age, set around the fringes of Brooklyn’s gangland underbelly in the 1980s.

Alec Baldwin is particularly menacing as a gruff, rock solid mafia boss, though the stereotypes and moral conundrums on display rarely differ from the numerous MEAN STREETS knockoffs in existence.
