Aroview: Brilliant music documentary about enigmatic soundmaker and musical genius, Scott Walker, who enjoyed pop stardom in the 60's as half of The Walker Brothers, then walked away from industry and artistic convention to become one of greatest cult figures in the history of pop.
This highly anticipated insight doesn't disappoint, with the notoriously reclusive artist not shying away from the camera, but this is as much embellished by the analysis of his music, with indebted interviewees like David Bowie, Alison Goldfrapp, Sting, and yes, Bono, caught in the actual listening process. But it's Jarvis Cocker who perhaps sums it up best about Walker's uncompromising vision; "his music explores a sometimes uninhabitable place, but I'm thankful that someone is prepared to go there and put their flag down."
