Aroview: The stock British gangster flick gets yet another working over: Gary Oldman plays a hitman who crosses paths with various motley individuals, including a debt collector, a psychopathic killer, and other petty criminals who frequent the film’s cockney underworld.

Unmistakable as a Tarantino/Guy Ritchie cribbage, this is perhaps best viewed as a testament to the enduring appeal of gangland hi-jinks, complete with mindless banter, odd-ball caricatures, and gratuitous, if not comical expressions of violence. The very British cast provides a further excuse to indulge.
