Aroview: The intriguing, mysterious circumstances surrounding George ‘Superman’ Reeves’ suicide are exhumed by a private eye (Adrien Brody) in this smoky investigation of unspoken showbiz affairs.
Ben Affleck is well suited to play the jobbing actor who donned a cape to become a television superstar, but found himself typecast and washed up, and hopelessly involved with the studio boss's wife. While the story structure of flitting between these events and the post-humous investigation is a little jarring, the two stories eventually find a satisfying synchronicity, while exposing the inherent melancholy behind the glitz and glamour of Hollywood artifice.
