Aroview: Appealing despite its familiarity, this underdog sports yarn concerns the true-life basketball coach who, during the segregated US 1960s, fielded the first mixed-race college team with winning results.

Josh Lucas plays the inspirational coach, who arrives in West Texas and seeks to recruit the best players - regardless of race - assembling a mixed-bag of raw (mostly black) talent, who nonetheless don't always take to his brand of guidance. True to its message, dramatic grist is shared around all the characters (not just the white guy), while also evoking a convincing visual fresco of 1960s America.
