Sour Grapes

USA 1997, 92 minutes
Dir. Larry David
Rating: [M]
Genres: Comedy

Aroview: Two cousins (Weber and Bierko) squabble over the proceeds of a huge slot machine payout - one supplied the 50 cents needed; the other pulled the lever - leading to a disastrous chain of sourly-observed absurdities: a death contract, heart attack, lost testicles and no end of snappy one-liners.

Directed by the co-creator of SEINFELD, this aims for a similar vibe of petty black humour and while it misses the presence of true comic pros in the cast, is certainly much better than its critical reputation.
