Aroview: An unsettling race-drama about a bedraggled woman (Moore) who turns up at a New Jersey hospital alleging that her young son has been kidnapped by a black man, a claim which has detective Jackson on the trail but which also ignites racial tensions amongst the townsfolk.

Adapted from the long novel by Richard Price (CLOCKERS), this captures some of the veracity and messy complexity of the source, although rather simplified - to its detriment. Still, the A-list cast rise to the occasion in what is essentially a more complicated episode of LAW AND ORDER: SVU.
