Aroview: While hardly definitive, Stacy Keach's rendition of the famous detective hero, created by pulp-novelist Mickey Spillane, brings a light, kitschy irony to the wellworn film noir territory. Otherwise, this TV series adaptation is strictly by the book, hardly matching the atmosphere of the contemporanenous CRIME STORY.
This 2-disc set features a couple of movie-length stories taken from the series: 'Murder Me, Murder You' and 'More than Murder'.

2 stars (Good Try) The Hammer character is a product of his time and a worthy curiosity piece to look back on. A great theme tune and the street location shooting helps. ~Tubbs
