Aroview: Hitchcock's second talkie is a clever whodunnit in which a juror (Marshall) in the murder trial of a young woman decides to open his own investigation, using costumes and disguises from his theatre company.

2 stars (Good Try) The screenplay was contrived but it had 2 good scenes. One was the jury room but the best was when Sir John entertained the Markhams. It emphasised their social distance simply through the niceties of partaking of a glass of wine & later a bowl of soup.~tubbs
