Secret Service, The (TV Series)

UK 1969, 325 minutes
Genres: Family, Science Fiction / Cult TV

Topics: Puppetry.

Aroview: Gerry and Sylvia Anderson's (THUNDERBIRDS) final excursion into "supermarionation", this gadget-laden spy series concerns a priest (voiced by malapropism-crazy comedian Stanley Unwin), who has a machine which shrinks people down to 6-inches high which he uses on various dodgy missions for the British Secret Service.

Hardly one of the Andersons' greatest, this does have a weirdly genteel charm of its own, as the priest sups to tea in his small village before being regularly called out to remove some malevolent power-hungry eccentric.

Complete series (12 episodes) over two discs.
