Aroview: Dishevelled and inane comedy, sees family man Tim Allen accidentally bitten by a 300-year old pooch (smuggled by commandos out of Tibet) and thence slowly transforming into the family sheepdog, complete with all the ear-scratching, face-licking, stick-chasing and butt-sniffing consequences.
Featuring an expected array of sometimes gross sight gags as Allen tries to communicate with his family and seek a solution, this nominal remake of the 1959 Fred MacMurray hit, mostly fails to profit from an excellent support cast, although Robert Downey Jr. creates an impression as a slimy and twitchy animal scientist. May tickle the easily-amused.
