Honeymooners, The

Aroview: A likeable, if conventionally-plotted, comedy in which a jilted bridegroom and just-sacked waitress end up on a road trip across rural Donegal, where, despite their contrasting natures (she - petulant; he - stuffy) they find themselves gradually warming to each other.

With a modicum of gently-humourous adventures (rampaging sheep, cross-dressing), this finds its legs soon enough and underlays its general silliness with a streak of bittersweet pathos. Worth a watch for some quiet, modestly-inventive distraction.
