Aroview: A malicious student (Evan Rachel Wood) connives with her cowed classmates to lay a false claim of sexual harrassment against a drama teacher (Livingston), so as to gain some TV celebrity for a hoped-for film career.

Resembling the work of Todd Solondz (HAPPINESS) in its 'everyone is guilty' misanthropy, this is carried by a clutch of highly compelling performances, particularly James Wood, as a crassly racist Bel Air millionaire. Although finally too timid to be a truly satirical gem, one can't help but be impressed by the fearless taboo-breaking.

1 star (Turkey) There is a fine line on whether black comedies work or not. This one comes across as unintentionally grubby, or at best immature, which is a pity because of the cast involved. ~Tubbs
