Aroview: A group of college students venture into an abandoned hospital on Halloween night for a cheap laugh, and end up trapped there while a gaggle of malevolent spirits circle and pick them off one by one.

Although accessing a thoroughly familiar scenario, dir. Ferrante (a former writer for 'Fangoria' magazine) succeeds in crafting a series of loopy plot-twists involving ghostly impersonations, topped off with some slithery, body-melting gore scenes. As an 'insiders' pastiche of classic horror references, this is a nice little surprise and packs in a satisfying quota of spooky-shock moments.
