Overcoming
Aroview: An insightful glimpse into the process of cycling team Danish CSC being primed for the 2004 Tour De France, directed with kinetic and emotional force by dir. Gislason, an associate of Lars von Trier.
Over the course of events, the film develops beyond the fascinating cycle race, to become an effective vehicle with which to explore the motivations, methods and tactics of high performance sports. Filmed with over 30 cameras, this was cut down from 1000 hours of footage to a tightly focused core, with some smoothly varnished editing. An excellent ride for sports fans and the curious alike.
