Aroview: Solid cast of exploitation 'character actors' lifts this quasi-satirical slasherfest about a Gulf War casualty who rises from his resting place to wreck revenge on his home town, because of their lack of patriotic zeal. Unfortunately dir. Lustig (MANIAC COP) can't quite create the new horror icon he clearly intends to; however, Larry Cohen's scriptwriting is reliably quirky.
