Aroview: Solid prequel to the hit Hong Kong policier, goes back in time to the era of the 1991 and moves forward in three acts to the Chinese handover, riffing on another tale of Triad infiltration and political corruption.

Unfortunately HK pop singers Chen and Yue don't have the charismatic presence of the original stars (Andy Lau and Tony Leung), but even so, the plotting is knowing and parallel references to THE GODFATHER are welcome.
