Aroview: Low-key drama set in the unkempt outer suburbs of Taos, New Mexico in the mid-1970s, around a sleepy family of three lost, but functional souls: an ex-hippie (Allen), her grizzled father (Elliot) and her hyperactive young daughter.
Their lives are interrupted when an IRD agent arrives, trying to figure out why they have not paid their taxes in years, but who gradually is drawn into their charming deficencies. Slowly paced and simply structured, this will send some to sleep, but its quiet nuances and sloe-eyed humour may well transport patient viewers.
