Hamish MacBeth (TV series)

UK 1995-1997, 246 minutes
Rating: [PG]
Genres: Television, Drama, Comedy / Policier

Aroview: The town of Lochdubh in the Scottish Highlands forms a droll and scenic setting for this smalltown policier set around the put-upon local constable (Carlyle). Based on the novels by M.C. Beaton, this plays more on the inherent human drama, pathos and social networks, rather than on the mystery elements. However a string of petty (and serious) crimes keeps an everpresent suspense element.

Series 1 (6 episodes over 2 DVDs) - The Great Lochdubh Salt Robbery, A Pillar of the Community, The Big Freeze, West Coast Story, Wee Jock's Lament, A Bit of an Epic
