Surviving Christmas

Aroview: In a moment of lonely Christmas nostalgia, an obnoxious young millionaire (Affleck) journeys to his childhood home and bribes the resident family to let him hang out with them. Fancying itself as some kind of black comedy, this flails under the panicked overracting of Affleck and concludes with a hypocritical message of sickly sentiment. Only just survives courtesy of Gandolfini and O'Hara's professional restraint.
