Aroview: Revved-up with cheap parts and studiously ironic moronic-ness, this movie version of the iconic 1970s TV show concerning two Southern boys (Scott and Knoxville) and their hellraising in Hazzard County, tramples on tradition, but achieves a certain grace at times.
The Duke cousins are distracted from their moonshine business by discovering Boss Hogg's (Reynolds) plans to despoil the countryside, a plan which takes them and their Dodge Charger ('The General Lee') far from home. Cue car-chases, brawls and all the expected prankery, which instead of carrying the weightless, anarchic innocence of the original, revels in a contemporary obnoxiousness.
