Great St. Louis Bank Robbery, The

Aroview: This noir thriller is one of McQueen's best early roles, and although somewhat obscure has a cult reputation for its shootout scenes and intense, naturalistic scripting. Interestingly the story is based on a true robbery which occurred in St. Louis in 1954, and many of those who were involved became cast in the filmed recreation.
