Hunger Games, The (2012)
Disturbing yet provocative. Not suitable for younger children. Definitely a good watch. 
Life Is Beautiful (La vita e bella) (1998)- Beautiful movie, intelligent, funny, truly wonderful journey through the imagination.
To Kill a Mockingbird (1962)
Beautifully made movie, very clever, excellent storytelling, is a movie which keeps the viewer on the edge of their seat – What do you think? You have to watch it to find out. (smile)
Song of Bernadette, The (1943)- Love this movie – A valuable addition to any movie collection.
Crooked Earth (2001)- Excellent movie – Definately rates a Kia Ora Cuz rating (wink)
Utu (1983)- When I first saw this movie as a 13 year old it scared the beejeebees out of me – viewing it as a 40 year old, I appreciate the historical value it adds to the richness of our New Zealand heritage.
New Zealand Wars, The (1999)- A dvd for the historically minded Kiwi\'s among us. Definitely a \"Ki te pai\" rating from me.

Once Were Warriors (1994)- The first time I saw this movie – I cried, hated father, felt sorry for the children and the wife – Truly an emotional roller–coaster – I felt exhausted yet hopeful at the end of this cinematic journey.
Whale Rider (2003)- Beautiful story reminds me of people in my own whanau – courageous, extraordinary, full of potential.

Movies like this make me so proud to be a New Zealander – I have this movie in my own personal collection – I love 1950\'s kiwi culture – an inspiring story of a young girl (Andrews) and her friendship with an old Kaumatua (Haughton) – Simply Brilliant.- DVD

50 Ways of Saying Fabulous (2005)- What a charming movie – The characters were so easy to relate to – I think movies like this showcasing such a sensitive subject matter should be commended and embraced – I loved that \"no 8\" wire mentality.
Desperate Remedies (1993)- A wonderful combination of sexual tension mixed with Victorian sensibilities – Definitely a movie for the eclectic movie lover.
Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover, The (1989)- Very clever movie – I love how each scene is dramatized by the changing color scheme – The characters are hypnotic and another stella performance given by Mirren – Recommendation – Babbettes Feast (culinary/historical/french)rn
Babette's Feast (1987)- Beautifully made movie, for someone who is interested in history/cookery a must see movie.
Cinema Paradiso (1990)- Wonderful movie – magical music.
Jesus of Nazareth (Mini Series) (1977)- Fantastic movie, Robert Powell\'s portrayal of Jesus is authentic and magnetic – One of my favorite movies, a perfect compliment to other classic biblical stories like Ben Hur, The Robe, The Song of Bernadette
