Love in the Time of Cholera (2008)
The richness of Gabriel García Marquez’ language is absent, as is one of the main characters: Leona Cassiani. A mutilated rendition of the original story. The fast food version of a crème brulée. Yuk!
Class, The (Entre les murs) (2008)
An original approach to the topic as the characters are performed by real people as opposed to professional actors. Dense and intense, with a lot of attention to details as opposed to a plot. Need to be seen on a peaceful day.
