Van Helsing
More entertaining than some critics might have you believe, this big-budget monster-mash sees Hugh Jackman out to save a Transylvanian village under constant attack from flying brides of Dracula.
Frankenstein’s monster, the Wolfman and a swordwielding Kate Beckinsale also pop by to liven up proceedings. Let down only by a lack of good lines for the heroes and an uninspired Count Dracula, this remains stylish and fast-moving, blessed in its best moments with a winning sense of its own silliness.
