In French with English subtitles
Rating: [M]

Aroview: More comic gold from the king of French farce, Francis Veber, who understands the value of a good premise, great actors, and simple, unpretentious storytelling.

Lovable loser Daniel Auteuil doesn’t enjoy much respect from his office colleagues, and is a sitting duck for redundancy. But refusing to bow out gracefully, he conspires with a neighbour to frame himself as gay, on the hunch that they’ll reinstate him through fear of discrimination. The absurdist take on political correctness sets the scene for comic misunderstandings, that work especially well when macho thug Gerard Depardieu is instructed to show he is sensitive to homosexuals. Viva le closet!
