Curse of the Jade Scorpion, The

Aroview: Woody comfortably ambles through this genial spoof of a 40s detective film, playing a renowned insurance investigator who falls prey to a magician’s post-hypnotic criminal suggestions. Plays to both Allen fans and anti-fans, with chief sparring-partner Helen Hunt trampling the Allen alter-ego nicely, while Dan Aykroyd, Elizabeth Berkley, David Ogden Stiers and Wallace Shawn also enjoy themselves.
